Local Scholarships are open to all seniors graduating in the current year.
Scholarships open November 11th @ 9am and close February 14th at 11:59pm.
The following scholarships all use the same SHS common application. This means your information will be saved upon completion of the first scholarship you fill out and is automatically input in the next scholarship applied for. Students will still need to submit each scholarship they apply for individually.

Hyde Racing Scholarship
Hyde Racing Scholarship: This $5,000-dollar scholarship will be awarded to one female in the graduating class who plans on attending a Community College or Trade/Technical School. This scholarship is renewable for two years, if the student maintains C’s and above while attending school full time. Hyde Racing is looking for a female student who has demonstrated the ability to overcome adversity while balancing the demands of high school. Closes February 14th @4pm. Applications are available in the counseling office and must be returned to the counseling office prior to the deadline.
Jerry Westerholm Memorial Scholarship
The following scholarships have been publicized to the Seaside High School Counseling Office for the Class of 2025.
TLC Fibre Federal 2025 Scholarships
TLC a Division of Fibre Federal
Credit Union Scholarship Application. The credit union will offer (7) academic scholarships for the
2025/2026 school year:
• (1) $2,000 Jim Stacie Memorial Scholarship (All scholarships submitted are considered for this award)
• (6) $1,500 Academic Scholarships
Scholarship Requirements:
• Applicant must be a Fibre Federal Credit Union/TLC, A Division of Fibre Federal Credit Union member.
• Application must be accompanied by a copy of current school transcripts, or equivalent.
• Application must be accompanied by a minimum of (1) letter of recommendation.
Scholarship awards are based on:
• Quality/Completeness of Scholarship Application
• Financial Planning/Need
• Academic Standing
• Extra-Curricular Activities
• In addition to the criteria listed above, the Jim Stacie Memorial Scholarship is awarded based on
leadership qualities.
Scholarship Applications are due by 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025. Applications can be submitted by:

Scholarships awarded in May 2025 must be used by December 31, 2026.

Assistance League Columbia Pacific
Senior students who desire to attend an accredited Community College or a
Trade School may apply. Must have a GPA of 2.00 and have had some volunteer
experience either in your school and or community. Assistance League is looking
for students who have educational goals for their future. Please also submit any
participation in any school activities or jobs held during high school years.
The student must represent responsible citizenship, including social media. Any
bullying, illegal activity or questionable social media activity may not be
considered. $1500 scholarship

Ashley Martens Memorial Scholarship
This $1000.00 scholarship is in honor of Ashlee Renee Martens. A graduate of
Astoria High School and The Art Institute of Portland. A very talented graphic
designer with a passion for art and determination to achieve her goals. We would
like to help another student who shares that same passion in honor of Ashlee.
Requirements:
* 2025 graduating senior interested in pursuing a career in design art or art therapy
* 2.5 or higher GPA
* must attend an accredited or licensed educational institution minimum 3/4 to full
time

Sister Adele Scholarship
Individual awards starting @ $1500 for students of Oregon farmworker families. Must be enrolled in, or plan to enroll in, a college, university, or trade school. Deadline February 14th, 2025. Please see attached flyers for more information and how to apply.
Clatsop County 4H Association Scholarships
Clatsop County 4H has opened 3 different scholarships for seniors attending Clatsop County high schools, please refer to email for applications and eligiliblity requirements.
Gordon & Roberta Memorial Scholarship
The Gordon & Roberta Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship that is provided to one or more Clatsop County High School graduating seniors. The scholarship is in memory of Gordon & Roberta Smith and the legacy they leave behind with their families and the timber industry. In 2025, the board will provide $500 scholarships to 5 area high schools. Pick up a cover sheet/application in the counseling office, return finished applications to the counseling office by February 14th @ 3:30pm.

Barbara Hirschi Neely Scholarship
Scholarship Requirements:
Al Forthan Memorial Scholarship
The Al Forthan Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an Oregon high school senior from a family affected by alcohol or drug addiction. Affected by addiction means you have been raised by a parent or guardian who has experienced addiction or you have abused alcohol or drugs and are now pursuing recovery.
One $10,000 scholarship will be awarded in 2024. It will be allocated in $2,500 installments over four years.To be eligible for the $10,000 scholarship you will need to include in your application a one page (maximum) letter of support from a teacher, coach, school counselor, adult mentor, pastor, etc. describing your character and why they recommend you for this scholarship.Several other scholarships of various amounts will be awarded in 2024. To be eligible for the scholarships less than $10,000 you do not need a letter of support.
Scholarship awards are based on the students’ response to each of the following six questions or statements. Please submit your application below as a Microsoft Word or Google Document. If you don’t have a Google account you can email it to Tessa Fowler at TFowler@voaor.org as a Microsoft Word or Google Document. Make sure to list your sources for questions 1 & 2. Please type out each question, followed by your response. All essays should be typed in 12pt font size, Times New Roman font and double-spaced.
Oregon JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship
Oregon JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship, open to all seniors who plan to attend college or university, or those who will be enrolled in a technical/vocational program for the Fall of 2025. Our organization offers a minimum of two (2) $2000 scholarships to graduating seniors in Oregon each year. Following our review and judging of the applicants, we also send the applications onto our national organization, the US JCI Senate Foundation, where 50 awards of $1500 are given to college/university attendees, and another 10 $1000 scholarships are awarded to students in technical/vocational programs. Applications are due to the Oregon program postmarked no later than January 17, 2025.
